Originally titled Amok, Dinos Dimopoulos' 1963 thriller follows the travails of a group of female prison escapees who seek refuge on a deserted island only to find it under siege by a ruthless band of treasure hunters led by an ex-Nazi who had slaughtered the family of one of the escaped women. It starred the director's wife Floretta Zana (Amaryllis) along with Zeta Apostolou (Stay Cool, Napoleon!) and Maria Bonelou (A Greek Woman In The Harem). U.S. distributor Zenith International was primarily known for arty imports such as the film version of Jean-Paul Sartre's No Exit. A segment of Stavros Xarhakos's soundtrack and stills from the film can be found here.
